Cold process soap is made by slowly combining oils and butters with a lye solution, allowing them to naturally transform into soap through saponification.

This method:

Cold Process Soap vs Syndet “Moisturising Bars”

Most commercial “moisturising bars” are syndet bars - detergent-based products made quickly using surfactants and binders.
Syndet bars:

Why Each Bar Takes 45–60 Days to Make

Yes. It is suitable for ages 6 and above. Lavender is used at very low levels and becomes subtle after curing.
Does it smell very strong?
No. Cold-process curing naturally mellows essential oils, leaving a soft, calming aroma.
Is this tear-free?
No. Like all true soaps, it should be used carefully around the eyes.
